Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDONALD GRANT THOMPSON Peacefully on November 25, 2000 Donald Grant Thompson 76, of Vancouver, B.C. formerly of Winnipeg, Man. passed away at St. Pauls Hospital. Don was born and raised in Shoal Lake, Man. He left there to proudly serve his country during The Second World War as a Radar Operator. While in Great Britain he met and married Jessie, his loving wife of 55 years. In Winnipeg Don worked for McDonald Douglas Aircraft and from 1954 until his retirement for Bullochs Ltd (ICG) as the Plant Manager. Don is also survived by his sons Grant, Philip, and Danny of Winnipeg and daughter Shanon of Vancouver; granddaughter Karen; brother Jack; sister Dorothy, many nieces and nephews and in-laws. Don was predeceased by his parents Andy and Bella Thompson as well as his brother Stuart. The family would like to thank the staff of Ward 7D for their warm care and wonderful support during this difficult time. Special thanks also to Beth and Joe Halhead of Vancouver as well as Neil and Lorraine Robson of Australia for their support in his last months. Donald will be fondly remembered for his willingness and ability to help others and for his wonderful sense of humour, his light will remain with us always. A reception to celebrate his life will be held at The Rosedale on Robson Hotel Room 2103 - 838 Hamilton at Robson at 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, November 30. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to any one of the Kidney, Heart, Diabetes or St. Pauls Hospital Foundations.
