STELLA ANN THOMSON (nee SZMADYLO) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother and grandmother Stella Thomson on December 6, 2000 at the age of 75, after a lengthy battle with heart disease. She was born in Moose Bay, Man. on June 24, 1925. She married Douglas Thomson in Dauphin in 1942. She achieved her hair dressing certificate in 1947. Stella enjoyed sports and was involved in many leagues. She was a loyal fan of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and the Jets. She was an excellent cook and took pride in her Ukrainian cuisine. Stella was predeceased by her husband Douglas Thomson in 1965; parents, Mary and Prokop Szmadylo; brother John and daughter-in-law Marjorie Thomson. She will be missed by her sons, Ian Thomson; wife Cherrlyn and children, Mary and Raymond; Bruce Thomson; wife Sheri and son David. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 9 at 10:00 a.m. in Green Acres Funeral Chapel, Hwy. No. 1 East at Navin Road. Interment will follow in Green Acres Memorial Gardens.
