Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKENNETH (KENNY) NICKOLAS THOMPSON Kenny Thompson passed away peacefully surrounded by family, on January 6, 2001, at the age of 53. He will be sadly missed by his lifelong partner of 27 years, Annette Passage; his son Roger Thompson (Joyce) his sisters, Joan Tychonick (Roger), Shirley Thompson, Patricia Jezzard; his brothers, Allen Thompson, Larry Thompson (Colleen), Jim Thompson (Katherine) his extended family, Danny Passage, Mickey Pasage (Zoe), Hessler Peltier (Theresa) his mother-in-law Claire Fontaine; his nieces, nephews and special grandchildren, Selena, Destiny and Stephanie. Ken was predeceased by his father Kenneth (1996), his mother Elly (1997), brother-in-law Charles Fontaine (1997), father-in-law Charles Fontaine (1999), niece Tara Malott (1986) and nephew Gordon Freunt (1994). Ken was born on August 2, 1947 and raised in Transcona. In 1964 he joined the P.P.C.L.I. and served in Germany until 1970. He was employed as a bartender for the past 28 years at the LaSalle Hotel in Winnipeg. Ken will be lovingly remembered for his love of the outdoors, camping, building and working with his hands, his horse collection, antiques and his passion for football. Most importantly, his infectious smile and "Devil May Care" attitude will be remembered by his family and friends for the rest of their lives. Prayers will be held on Monday, January 8 at Transcona Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day St., at 7:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, January 9 at 2:00 p.m., at the same location with Deacon Paul Martin officiating, service will terminate in the chapel.
