THEODORE (TED) THOMPSON Theodore Thompson, born May 27, 1919, died Saturday March 11, 2001 at the Vita & District Health Centre, after a bout with pneumonia. He is survived by his only daughter Sheron Jean Edgson-Mewis of Prince George, BC; her mother Teina Thompson; nine grandchildren, Laura Lee Langley (Richard), Curtis Robert Edgson (Yvonne), Stacey Jean Kaulback (Scott), Mark Darren Edgson (Brittney), Cindy Roberta Anthony (Rob), Chad Theodore Edgson, Pamela Ruth Edgson, Suzanna Char-Lane Edgson and Pearl Ashley-Anne Edgson, all of Prince George, BC; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Ted was predeceased by his parents, Theodore and Gina; three brothers and two sisters. Ted, as he was known, lived most of his 81 years in Piney, MB. He worked as a carpenter. Later in life he repaired small engines and built sawmills and miniature tractors. Ted was a very talented man and could fix anything! Ted Thompson had been a member of the Royal Canadian Legion of Piney, Branch No. 176, for over 20 years. He served overseas in the Canadian Infantry during the Second World War. Funeral service for Ted Thompson will be held Saturday, March 17 at 2:00 p.m. at the Piney Community Church. Viewing one hour prior to the service. The service will be conducted by Reverend Louis Hermanson with interment at Wampum Cemetery. A reception will follow at the Piney Community Hall. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Dr. Azar and the staff at the Vita District Health Centre as well as to family members for their care and kindness during Teds illness.
