MARCELLE TALGOY (nee KENNY) It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Marcelle Talgoy (nee Kenny) on March 26, 2001 at the age of 76. Her four sisters, Annette, Cecile, Georgette and Yolande predeceased her. She was the last of the Kenny girls. She leaves to cherish her memory her loving spouse Kjell; her sons, Michael (Mary), Kenneth (Gisele), Per (Cheryl) and Erik (Karen) and her grandchildren, Kevin, Allison, Bradley, Grainger, Alexander, Nikyla and Kirsten. Marcie was born in Winnipeg, Man., November 4, 1924 and lived and was educated in St. Norbert, Man. She was a valued employee of the Royal Bank of Canada when she met her future husband Kjell. They married on March 26, 1951. Marcie was a wonderful mother, extraordinarily hardworking and a good disciplinarian with a warm loving heart. She raised four terrific sons who will miss her dearly. After raising her four sons, she subsequently went to work at MacLeods Hardware Head office, where she was employed for over 15 years. She enjoyed travelling with her husband over the years, to Norway, Hawaii, and both coasts of Canada, Las Vegas and California. She especially enjoyed travelling with Kjell to sales meetings in New York City, Chicago and Toronto. In the last years of her life, she very much enjoyed the time she spent at the Tache Centre Daycare. Our thanks to to the staff for their generous care. Prayers for Marcie will be held at Knysh Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main Street on Tuesday, March 27 at 7:00 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Marys Cathedral, 353 St. Mary Ave. on Wednesday, March 28 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. D. Gurr officiating. Interment will follow immediately at Assumption Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the St. Boniface Palliative Care Unit or Cancer Care Manitoba would be appreciated. May you finally rest in peace, Mother.
