DOROTHY TALMAY Peacefully on Wednesday, May 23, 2001 at the age of 82, Dorothy passed away at Oakview Place. Dorothy moved to Winnipeg in the early 1950s and continued her education here. After her retirement from the University she became very involved with the Thelma Wynne Project which was run from St. Matthews Church. This organizations main goal was to provide layettes for newborns and Dorothy took pride in collecting items and making sure the layettes were just right for each needy newborn. Dorothy loved to travel and took many trips throughout Europe and Australia. Great Britain was her favourite spot and she took great delight in travelling around England. She was a very fine seamstress and spent many hours searching for the right materials and lace for her many projects. Sarah was the recipient of many beautiful dresses sewn lovingly by hand.
