NORMA MARIE SYGANIEC Peacefully, with her family at her side, on Monday, September 10, 2001, at the Health Sciences Centre, Norma Syganiec passed away at the age of 73 years. She was born in Portage la Prairie, MB on January 23, 1928. She married Joseph on May 24, 1943. They farmed and resided in Kelvin District, later moved to Pine Ridge District, then in Cooks Creek District and later she resided at the Tudor Care Home in Selkirk. Norma was a great cook, loved gardening, but most of all loved her family and grandchildren. She was predeceased by her loving husband Joseph in 1994 and her young son Barry in 1954. She will be sadly missed by her daughter Vicky; son Allan (Theresa) son Wayne (Carol) sons, Victor, Kevin and Tim; daughter Barbara (Wally) and daughter Karen (Jack). She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; two brothers, Dave Paul and John Paul and one sister Ellen Chalifoux. Prayers will be held on Wednesday, September 12, at 8:00 p.m. at St. Michaels Roman Catholic Church, Cooks Creek, MB. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, September 13, at 10:30 a.m. also at St. Michaels Parish with Fr. Sebastian Gacki officiating. Interment will follow in St. Michaels Parish Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Keith, Ken and Kelly Mantik; granddaughter Valerie Mantik, Karen Caines and Arthur Atamanchuk. The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to the Surgical Intensive Care Unit in the Health Sciences Centre for their care and support. Special thanks to the nursing staff at Tudor Care Home for their compassionate care. MOM You will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed.
