LEONA MICHALSKI A loving heart stopped beating, on Sunday, September 23, 2001. Leona peacefully passed on to eternal life, where she is re-united with her beloved husband, and best friend, Frank. She has left a beautiful legacy of life with her daughters, Louise and Carol and their husbands, Richard and Mel. She will also be missed by her grandchildren, Karen (Kelly), Gary, Heather, Kim, and Chris, and great-grandchildren, Noah and Landon. Her love of family will remain with us forever. We thank you Lord for showing us the beauty in your creation through her love and joy of flowers, birds and pets, and of the simple things of life. She whistled to her birds, sang with the wrens, and taught us to appreciate the peaceful coos of the doves. She shared in others joys, and felt their pain. We have seen through her life what it means to be selfless, to be a giver , and that in extending your hand to others, aids in healing your own. Lord, we have learned so much through her life. She taught us reverence of You, and to thank you for our blessings, for we have many. A celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, Setpember 25, at St. Anthonys Roman Catholic Church, 250 Burrin Ave., with viewing one half hour before service. Fr. Terrance P. McGrath will officiate and interment will follow in Holy Ghost Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Chester Golis and Stanley Michalski. Active pallbearers will be Frank Shefchyk, Ivan Jozanovic, Gary Kwiecien, Chris Lowe, Al Kuluk and Doug Kwiecien. If so desired, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent Street, Winnipeg, MB R2L 1X3. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL in care of arrangements 586-8044.
