IDA COMEAULT SYLVESTRE (nee LOISELLE) Paisiblement le 16 octobre 2001 a lHopital general de Saint-Boniface, Madame Ida Comeault Sylvestre (nee Loiselle) est decedee a lage de 91 ans apres une courte maladie. Ida est nee a Letellier, MB, le 19 janvier 1910, fille de David Loiselle et de Diana Dumontier. Suite a son premier mariage a Alexandre Comeault, elle vecut a Saint-Jean Baptiste jusqua la mort de son mari en 1958. Elle demenagea ensuite a Saint-Boniface ou elle se maria en deuxieme noce a Arthur Sylvestre, decede en 1981. Ses six enfants, Roger (Pamela Peck), Claude (Lorraine Daenick), Gilbert (Gwenith Norek), Jeannette (Ron Kostenuik), Rene (Anita Theroux) et Jocelyne (Randy Janssens) manqueront beaucoup leur "maman." Ses douze petits-enfants et six arriere-petits-enfants ainsi que Diane Comeault se souviendront delle avec beaucoup damour et de tendresse. Outre ses deux epoux, Ida a ete precedee de deux freres, Paul-Emile et Leo, et dune soeur Cecile. Elle laisse dans le deuil ses freres Alphonse (Yvonne) et Aime (Laurette) et ses soeurs Lea Molish (Jack) et Stella Klassen. "Maman" ou "grand-mere" a toujours ete une grande source dinspiration pour sa famille. On se souviendra surtout de sa determination, de sa tenacite, de son courage, de sa tendresse et de sa simplicite. Sa plus grande contribution a ete de nous avoir appris limportance de la famille et de lamour. Plusieurs de ses neveux et de ses nieces se souviendront du beau sourire de "ma tante Ida" de son teint doux, de son esprit serein mais eveille et de sa dexterite physique quelle a su garder durant toute sa vie. La famille Comeault aimerait remercier sincerement tout le personnel de lUnite 6A Medecine de lHopital general de Saint-Boniface et le docteur George Balko pour leurs soins attentifs et leur bienveillance. Les prieres auront lieu le jeudi 18 octobre a 1930 au Salon mortuaire Desjardins, 357, rue des Meurons, a Saint-Boniface. Les funerailles seront celebrees le vendredi 19 octobre a 14h00 en la Cathedrale de Saint-Boniface. Inhumation suivra au cimetiere de Saint-Boniface, 917, rue Archibald. Au lieu de fleurs, les parents et amis peuvent, sils le desirent, faire un don a la Fondation de recherche de lHopital general de Saint-Boniface. La direction des funerailles pour Madame Ida Comeault Sylvestre a ete confiee au Salon mortuaire Desjardins, 233-4949 ou sans frais, 1-888-233-4949. IDA COMEAULT SYLVESTRE (nee LOISELLE) Peacefully on October 16, 2001, Ida Comeault Sylvestre (nee Loiselle) passed away at the St. Boniface General Hospital after a brief illness. Ida was born in Letellier, MB, on January 19, 1910, to David Loiselle and Diana Dumontier. She lived in St. Jean Baptiste during her first marriage to Alexandre Comeault until shortly after his death in 1958. She then moved to St. Boniface where she later married Arthur Sylvestre who predeceased her in 1981. Maman will be sadly missed by her six children, Roger (Pamela Peck), Claude (Lorraine Daenick), Gilbert (Gwenith Norek), Jeannette (Ron Kostenuik), Rene (Anita Theroux) and Jocelyne (Randy Janssens). Grand-mere will be lovingly remembered by her 12 grandchildren, her six great-grandchildren, and by Diane Comeault. Ida was predeceased by brothers, Paul-Emile and Leo and by sister Cecile. She leaves to mourn her brothers, Alphonse (Yvonne) and Aime (Laurette) her sisters, Lea Molish (Jack) and Stella Klassen. Maman or grand-mere was always a great source of inspiration for her family. She will be remembered for her tenacity, her determination, her courage, her tenderness and her simplicity. Leaving a close knit and loving family behind will be her lasting legacy. Ma tante Ida will also be remembered by many of her nephews and nieces for her beautiful smile, soft complexion, mental alertness and ability to get around throughout her long and extraordinary life. The Comeault family would like to extend a sincere thank you to all the staff of 6A Medicine at the St. Boniface Hospital and to Dr. G. Balko for the excellent care they provided and for their compassion and understanding during her illness. Prayers will be held on Thursday, October 18 at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons St., in St. Boniface. Funeral mass is to be held at the St. Boniface Cathedral, 190 Cathedral Ave., St. Boniface, on Friday, October 19 at 2:00 p.m. Viewing prior to the service. Burial to follow at the St. Boniface Cemetery, 917 Archibald St. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the St. Boniface General Hospital Research Foundation.
