Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJEAN ROGOCKI (nee BYCHUK) A woman with a strong, pioneering spirit and a gentle heart, our mother and granny passed peacefully on Wednesday, November 28, 2001. Wife of the late Nicholas Rogocki, married for 55 years. She will be sadly missed by family and friends. She is survived by six children, 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. We remember Mom for her excellent ethnic cuisine and loving care of all of us. Daughters, Irene Kalinski (and Walter) of Lorette, Pauline Marzoff (and Murray) of Beaconia, Emily Rogocki (and Bill) of Winnipeg, Christine Rogocki (and Stacey) of Winnipeg. Son, Dennis Rogocki (and Elisabete) of Winnipeg. Daughter Cynthia Rogocki-Wiles (and Roger) of Wakefield, PQ. Grandchildren, Darren Kalinski (and Linda), Dwayne Kalinski (and Karen), Dean Kalinski (and Ginette), Chad, Amanda, Nicholas and Heidy Rogocki, Trinia Kell (and Robert), Gerald Marzoff, Erin and Ryan Wiles. Great-grandchildren, Jessica, Dylan, Kyle, Clayton, Jenna and Justin Kalinski. Brothers, Paul Bychuk (and Annette) of Winnipeg and Walter Bychuk of Lac du Bonnet. Born during leap year on February 29, 1924, in Broad Valley, MB, Jean spent her early years in the Brooklands area of Winnipeg. She married Nicholas in 1943. They farmed in the Glenmoor area for several years. In 1966, they moved to Beausejour where Jeans good cooking skills were put to work in the dietary department of the Beausejour Hospital. In 1984, Jean and Nicholas retired in Winnipeg. Special thanks to Dr. Haligowski of the Middlechurch Care Home and Dr. Alvi of Concordia Hospital for their devoted care. Much appreciation to Stella Zdrill and Louise Liebrecht for their steady support. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Funeral service will be held on Monday, December 3 at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St., Winnipeg. Viewing and service will be at 10:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens, with a gathering of family and friends to follow in the Glen Eden Reception Centre.
