CATHERINE HELENA TAIT Gently and peacefully on Thursday, December 6, 2001, Catherine Helena Tait passed away at the age of 93 years. Catherine will be lovingly remembered by her children, Herbert Tait (Shirley), Rosemary Reynolds, Catherine Dowse (Ray), Brian Tait (Veronica), Iris Kennedy (Lou), Dorothy Linklater (Jack), and Glen Tait (Kelly) daughter-in-law Peggy; 33 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Catherine is now reunited with her beloved son Gary, daughter Angela, grandsons, George and Gary; and great-grandson little George. Born in Philadelphia on December 18, 1907, Catherine settled in Canada, became a schoolteacher and taught in the Interlake area. She married Herb Tait where they raised their nine children on a small farm in Charleswood, MB. Catherine was the president of the Womens United Church Auxiliary and dedicated member of the Charleswood United Church. Catherines incredible love showed us that the most precious gift of all is family. She had a wonderful passion for life, enjoying all her children, working endlessly in her garden, and tending the farm. Catherine loved life, loved to laugh, and is cherished by all that knew her. Thank you God for letting us share her wonderful life. A private prayer service will be held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., followed by a private family interment. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Lou and Danny Kennedy, Gary and Steven Tait; and great-grandsons, Raymond and Wesley Dowse. Very special thanks to the personnel and caregivers at the Charleswood Care Centre for being so compassionate. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 120 Donald St. (943-6622). Arrangements entrusted to: CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CEMETERY AND CREMATORIUM 885-9715
