Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGINO TARONNO It is with profound sadness and shock the family announces the sudden passing of our father, grandfather, and brother Gino Taronno on December 31, 2001 at the age of 57 years. He was predeceased by his wife Margaret. He will be remembered and sadly missed by his daughters, Grace (Nick), Gena (Aubrey) and Lou-Anne (Henry) grandchildren, Gina, Marina, Joshua, Gino and Hillary; sisters, Joanne (Frank), and Phyllis; brothers, Pat (Marlene), Mike (Sabia), Dino (Luciana) and Mickey (Joanne) as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Gino was born on January 1, 1944 in San Giovanni Rotondo Foggia, Italy. He was a plasterer for over 30 years and was most recently employed by the Winnipeg School Division No.1. Gino was a happy-go-lucky person. He was tough on the outside and a teddy bear at heart. He was a great father and grandfather who always put his familys needs before his own. His pride and joy besides his daughters and grandchildren was his dusty rose Thunderbird. He had so many friends that loved him. Everyone who knew Gino, knew what a great guy he was. Prayer vigil will be held on Thursday, January 3, 2002 at 7:30 p.m. in the Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 510 River Ave. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 4, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. also in the church with Rev. Fr. Michael Savarimuthu. A private family interment will take place at a later date in Waverley Memorial Gardens. Honorary pallbearer will be Brian Hanson. Active pallbearers will be Antonio Taronno, Don Taronno, Tony Taronno, John Clement, Ray Klyne and Richard Holden. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 301-352 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3B 2H8 The family wishes to extend sincere gratitude to the staff at the St. Boniface Hospital.
