THORA HENRIETTA PLATSKO (FAITHFULL) (nee FRANKLAND) Thora passed away peacefully in the early morning of Saturday, February 23, 2002 at the age of 84. She is lovingly remembered and will be greatly missed by her son Wayne Faithfull and daughter-in-law Janet of Mississauga; grandsons, Scott and Todd Faithfull; great-granddaughters, Dawn and Holly, all of Ontario; her long time friend and companion Bill Lodge of Winnipeg; sister Mary Collins of British Columbia; niece Cathleen McDonald of Ontario and nephew Frankland White of British Columbia. Thora was born in Thunder Bay (Fort William), ON. She moved to Winnipeg in 1947, which has been her home ever since. She was Secretary of the Civil Service Association of Canada for many years. Thora was keenly involved with the interests and activities of the Order of the Royal Purple. She was a life member in the Order for over 25 years. In accordance with Thoras wishes, cremation has taken place and no funeral service will be held. In lieu of flowers, friends are encouraged to make a donation to either of Thoras favourite organizations, The Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent St., Winnipeg, MB, R2L 1X3, or the Royal Purple, Winnipeg.
