MARY TIDE On Thursday, February 28, 2002 at the Charleswood Care Home, Mary Tide, aged 76 years. Mary is survived by her son Robert and daughter Valdine; grandchildren, April, Clarine, Christina, Chantal, Denise, Robert, Roy Jr., Owen, Scott, and Danita; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Valdimar Sigurdson, parents, Harry and Josephine; sons, Roy and Fred; brother Richard; and sister Dolly. Mary was born in Pine Dock, residing most of her early years there. She later moved to Selkirk where she met Valdimar and together they raised their family. Mary resided in Selkirk until moving tot he Charleswood Care Centre, where she was a resident for the past ten years. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 5 at 1:30 p.m. in the Pine Dock Community Hall, with Pastor Neil von Gunton officiating. Viewing will take place one hour prior to service time. Interment will follow in the Pine Dock Community Cemetery. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff at the Charleswood Care Home for all their excellent care shown to Mary over the years. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 102-310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB, R3C 0S6. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk, in care of arrangements.
