LINDA LAURENE SZCZUR (nee RITCHOT) Linda Laurene Szczur (Ritchot) beloved wife of Jerry, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 21, 2002 at the Rosedale Hospice, in Calgary, AB. Linda was born in Winnipeg on October 10, 1951 where she resided until her marriage on December 29, 1978 when she moved to Edmonton and later to Calgary in 1982. Linda was predeceased by her mother, Juliette Ritchot on April 29, 1998. Besides her loving husband Jerry, Linda leaves to mourn her father, Philias Ritchot (Betty) of Winnipeg, her sister Joanne Scott (Rick) of Calgary, her sister Louise Stuart with daughters, Jennifer Verbrugge and Jaimie of Winnipeg, and her sister Yvette Tanner (Larry) with sons, Nicholas and Graham of Winnipeg. As well, Linda leaves to mourn her mother-in-law Anna Szczur of Winnipeg, brother-in-law Bill Szczur (Donna) with daughters, Tanya and Angela of Coquitlam, BC. Linda will always be remembered for her loving, generous, caring nature and for always putting others ahead of herself. She cherished all her family and friends and had a strong passion for gardening, a love of nature and all animals. A prayer service will be held at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 4718 Worcester Dr. S.W., Calgary, AB on Wednesday, June 26 at 7:30 p.m. Funeral mass will be held at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, on Thursday, June 27 at 11:00 a.m. Memorial mass at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 2 at St. Bernadette Parish, 820 Cottonwood Rd., Winnipeg. Interment to follow at St. Vital Catholic Cemetery, 236 River Rd. Reception to follow, details to be provided.   • Trying to find my father's family.. Anna Szczur would have been one of his sisters. Possible if Anna is his sister, family could reach out. My father was a Montreal, Que firefighter.. his and Anna's mother Vasylna, father William, Vasyl... thanks kindly, Mary Jane.
