LUELLA MAE TABAK August 8, 1929 - October 2, 2002 Luella began her heavenly sleep after a lengthy illness. Her family and friends will sorely miss her, but no one will miss her more than her two sons, Mitch (Jan) and Alan (Kim) and her grandchildren, Alan, Teagan, Joshua and Jonathan. Shell be known for her ease of making friends even with complete strangers, as her good friend, Astrid, will attest to. Receiving phone calls from her far away family, sister Gloria; nieces, Elaine (Al) and Carol (Tom) and visits with her friends, Lucille, Yvonne, Helen, Alex and Penny made her last years more enjoyable. Her brothers and sisters, Gloria (Gary), Dennis (Karen), Laverne (Jodi), Debbie (Carl), Audrey (Brian), Gerry (deceased) (Jan) were extremely important to her. Luella spent most of her life in northern Manitoba, growing up in Winnipegosis/Duck Bay area before moving to The Pas and then Thompson. She fondly remembered her years with the RCMP as a matron in Thompson. After her husband (Mike) passed away in March 1992, she decided she would like to experience living in the south and moved to Winnipeg in the fall of 1992 where she spent her remaining years in St. Vital, close to her oldest son Mitch. The tide recedes, but leaves behind bright sea-shells on the sand. The sun goes down, but gentle warmth still lingers on the land. The music stops, and yet it echoes on in sweet refrains. For every joy that passes, something beautiful remains. The family would like to take this opportunity to thank Dr. F. Salem and his staff for the tremendous care and concern they gave our mother, and to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Victoria Hospitalno one could have asked anymore of you than what you gave. An extra special thanks to Saroj. Cremation will take place after the service and her ashes interred at the St. Vital Cemetery, joining her husband Mike. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Winnipeg Humane Society. Memorial service and reception will be held at Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway, at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 5. THOMSON FUNERAL CHAPELS 783-7211
