HELEN SYWY August 11, 1935 - November 5, 2002 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passage of our beloved wife, mom and nana Helen at Concordia Hospital on November 5, 2002. Besides her loving husband Peter of 48 years, Helen is survived by sons, Peter and Bob (Sandi) grandsons, Brayden and Scott; sisters, Marion (Mac) Kirkland, Pat (Wally) Zapisocki, Marty (Bob) Brown; brother Pete (Mary) Komarnicki and their families; sister-in-law Jean (Joe) Nagy; as well as many other close relatives and dear friends. Helen was predeceased by her parents, Peter and Lena Komarnicki. Mom was an incredible source of strength among us. Her greatest gift was her untiring devotion to her entire family, but especially to her grandsons. She was a precious friend to all who knew her and will be greatly missed. Special thanks to the doctors and nurses of Concordia Hospital and also to the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) for their care and compassion. Memorial service will be held on Friday, November 8 at 10:00 a.m. in Klassen Funeral Chapel, 1897 Henderson Hwy., with Rev. Robert Campbell officiating. If so desired, donations may be made in Helens memory to The Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent St., Winnipeg, MB R2L 1X3; The Childrens Wish Foundation, 350 St. Mary Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3C 3J2 or to charity of your choice.
