Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRONALD D. TIGHE August 25, 1930 - January 3, 2003 Suddenly, on Friday, January 3, 2003, Ronald Tighe passed away at his home. Ronald was predeceased by four brothers and two sisters. Ronald leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 48 years Jean, his daughters, Cathy (Gerry) Suggitt, Lyn (Steve) Colwell and Carol (Jeff) Woods. His eight grandchildren, Melissa and Sarah Suggitt, Kylee, Jamie and Braden Colwell, Caitlin, Taylor and Tanner Woods. His brother Bernard (Susan), sisters, Anna May (Al), Dolores, Mary Louise, Sharon (Jim) and Sister Phyllis. Ronald is also survived by his father-in-law Steve Sesak, sister-in-law Adeline, brother-in-law Jim (Mayvis) as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Ronald was employed with the Canadian Wheat Board for 37 years from which he retired in 1985. Over the years, Ronald was involved with numerous organizations including the Knights of Columbus (Grand Knight 1972 - 1974, 1976 - 1977) Transcona Council, Transcona Senior Centre and Transcona Golf Club. His interests included golf, curling, playing cards and many hours spent babysitting his beloved grandchildren. The family would like to thank the Winnipeg Fire and Paramedic Service and the staff at the Concordia Hospital. A funeral service for Ronald will be held on Wednesday, January 8 at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (south of the Royal Canadian Mint) with interment and reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ronalds memory to the St. Boniface Research Centre or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
