JEAN GWENDOLINE SWORD After a lengthy illness with Cruetzfeld Jakob disease, Jean passed away peacefully on March 26, 2003. She is survived by her loving husband Bill; daughter Amanda; grandchildren, Lauren and Ronin; mother Catherine and brother John who live in Ontario; also numerous nieces and nephews around the world. Jean was born May 14, 1944 and educated in Stafford, England. The family moved to Edinburgh, Scotland where she met and married Bill in March of 1964. Jean and Bill immigrated to Winnipeg in May of 1967. Jean was employed by the M.G.E.U. until 1980 when she adopted Amanda. The family would like to thank all the Doctors, nurses and staff on the 3rd floor of the Victoria General Hospital for all their wonderful care. The family would also like to thank all the Home Care workers for their patience and kindness. Jean is to be cremated and a private service will be held at home for immediate family only. Date and time to be determined later.
