MLODZINSKI (BUKOSKI / nee McVARISH) (1919 - 2003) Surrounded by her loving family, Irene peacefully passed into the loving arms of Jesus on August 19, 2003. She was predeceased by her parents Angus and Emma McVarish; brother Fred; sister Ida; husbands, George Bukoski and Walter Mlodzinski; beloved friend Frank Neil and sons, David and Peter. She leaves to mourn, daughter Maureen (Bob) Koblanski, Lynda (Frank) Pisa, Dianne (Brian) Frost-Morrison, sons, Norman (Teri) Bukoski and Richard Paul; sister Evelyn Combaz; brothers, Hugh (Jean), Leo (Eileen), Gilbert (Doris), Bernard (Betty), Dennis (Olga), many nieces and nephews and best friend, Jo Robinson, 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Irene fostered 21 children and was a sponsor of many charities. She was a constant and faithful visitor of the sick, a lifetime member of St. Alphonsus Church, The Catholic Womens League, St. Judes Circle and St. Alphonsus choir. She was an avid crib player, bowler, walker and crafter. We wish to thank the staff of the ER and ICU of Concordia Hospital for their care of Irene and consideration of her family. Viewing will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, August 22, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Aphonsus Church, 341 Munroe Ave. A private burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, an expression of sympathy may be made to the League for Life, 579 Des Meurons St., Winnipeg, MB R2H 2P6. We praise and thank God for His wonderful gift of our Mother, Grandmother and Friend. We will love you all the days of our lives, Ma Mere. May you rest in the peace you so deserve. I had the wonderful opportunity to work with Irene, Lynda and Frank when they had a small flower shop on Munroe Ave. I never did keep in touch with Irene and her family but I wish I would have, Irene was such a wonderful person and I will always remember what a great time we had together.
