JOSEF TABAK On September 19, 2003 our family lost the most loving, caring and thoughtful man in all our lives. Left to cherish his memory is Joes special friend Riva; his children, Jack, Sheldon (Maureen) and Sheila (Howie Raber) grandchildren, Bailie (Jeff Chochinov), Haylee, Kyla, Sheara and Meira; great-grandchild Sloan. Josef was predeceased by his first wife Rachel, infant daughter Miriam, second wife Musia (Molly) and daughter-in-law Sharron. As a Holocaust survivor he endured many atrocities in his life. The pain and suffering made Josef determined to make a better life for his descendants. He succeeded in emigrating to Canada with his wife and two sons where he worked as an auto mechanic for many years. Throughout his life, Josef made family his first priority. Anything that any member of his family needed was the first item on his list of things to do, no matter what. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Josef Tabak Kinderlach Fund care of the Jewish Foundation of Manitoba; C400 - 123 Doncaster St., Winnipeg, MB, R3N 2B3. A special thank you to Dr. Husarewycz and the staff of the Seven Oaks Hospital for the special care Josef received. Graveside services will be held Sunday, September 21 at 10:00 a.m. at the Bnai Abraham Cemetery.
