PETER TABOR Peter Tabor, husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away at the age of 88 years, after battling colon cancer for the past six months. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Wilhelmina; daughter Linda Janzen (son-in-law Chuck), Eleanor Dueck (son-in-law Jake) grandchildren, Clint, Candice and Regan; and great-grandchildren, Cody and Hailey. Also left to mourn his passing is his youngest sister Elizabeth (Betty) Plischke of Saskatoon and is predeceased by his brother John; and sisters, Lee Hornseth and Grace Van der lek. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Peter served his country for 3 and one half years as a member in the Armed Forces during the Second World War. Employed at Sherwin Williams Paint Co. for 32 and one half years as a Stationary Engineer he was a boiler room Supervisor and retired on November 30, 1978 at age 64. A heartfelt thank you to all his Palliative Care nurses, Florence, Corinne, Jenn and Ann who were so supportive to the family and helped make dads passing peaceful and comfortable. Special thanks to nieces Evelyn, Darlene and Lorraine for taking time to visit with Dad and share fond memories of the past with him. A lover of all sports Dad was never one to shy away from debate on any current event or political issue. He will be sadly missed. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 26 at Klassen Funeral Chapel, 1897 Henderson Hwy. Viewing will be from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 25 also at the chapel.
