JOHN KERTESZ MAY 3, 1935 - NOVEMBER 10, 2003 Peacefully, on November 10, 2003, John went to be with his Lord Jesus at the age of 68. John leaves behind his wife and best friend, Olga and loving daughter Julie; step-children Gina and Ralph; family in Hungary where he was born, and many friends. After leaving Hungary, he came to Canada in 1956. He had jobs with the section gang on the railway, landscaping, and at the Thompson mines. The last work place was at Varta Batteries where he was for 31 years. He was a quiet man who loved the outdoors and spending time at the cottage with family and friends. He liked to work at fixing things; it was a challenge to get them going. He was there for his family and friends and to help as best as he could. He made a couple of trips to Hungary to visit with family. We were so happy that he was able to do so. There will always be an empty spot in our hearts for you dear one. Till we are reunited again. The family wishes to express thanks to Home Care and nursing staff at 3 West Concordia Hospital. Also our deepest gratitude to Pastor Arno Fast for his prayers and visits and dear friend Theresa for your compassion and love.
