I wish I could have gotten to know you better as I grew up and made a million more memories, but unfortunately our time was cut short. I was only 7 when you passed so it was difficult for me to understand what it meant for somebody to be gone forever. Now that I understand it, it is so heartbreaking that I couldn't have known you longer. Please know that although I was only 7 and my memory is not so bright, that I remember picking apples from your Apple tree with you, putting lip stick on you with Desiree while you were sleeping on your recliner and making those arts and crafts that we would stick on the windows. Every moment I remember, I have and will always cherish them. And even though you're gone, I will always keep you in my heart and I know you've kept me in yours. I love you grandpa, rest peacefully and I'll see you again one day. - Posted by: Sydni (Granddaughter) on: Aug 19, 2015
