MILDRED LOUISE THOMPSON The family is saddened to announce the passing of Louise Thompson at the age of 77, with failing health in the last few years. Louise is survived by her loving husband David. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Marion (Murray), Barbara, Susan (Andy), Catherine (Ken) and Richard (Brenda). She will also be remembered by her grandchildren, Derek (Andrea), Marla (Dave), Brad, David, Jeremy, Rachel, Michael, Steven, Joey and Stephanie and nieces and nephews, Janice (Guido), Joanna (Bryan), Laureen (Greg), Frank and son Taylor and sister-in-law Dorothy Mitchell. She was predeceased by her parents Thomas and May Flynn; sisters, Marion, Florence and brother Bill (Inez). Louise was a volunteer of the Victoria Hospital, an A.C.W Member and Girl Guides and Brownies of Canada. Mom taught us that "home is where the heart is". She cherished her grandchildren. Shell be remembered for her love of family gatherings, cooking, gardening and enjoying a good laugh. A sincere appreciation to the staff of Victoria General Hospital and also the care and compassion of Dr. Brian Sharkey. A celebration of Louises life will be held on Saturday, December 20 at 1:00 p.m. in the Garry Memorial Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd., with Rev. Geoff Woodcroft officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren. A private family interment will be held at a later date. If friends so desire, memorial contributions may be made to Guild of Victoria Hospital care of Volunteer Services, 2340 Pembina Hwy., Winnipeg, MB R3T 2E8 or to a charity of your choice.
