CONRAD HALLDOR THORKELSSON On March 7, 2004 at Neepawa Memorial Hospital, Conrad Halldor Thorkelsson aged 75 years, of Neepawa, MB. He was born in Ashern, MB on March 15, 1928. Conrad is survived by his wife Janet of Neepawa; six children, Wendy (Don) Mauthe of Winnipeg, Brenda Turner of Prince George, BC, Shelly (Allen) Stanski of Burns Lake, BC, Kerry Thorkelsson of Sundry, AB, Kevin (Rhonda) Thorkelsson of Winnipeg and Kent (Debbie) Thorkelsson of Portage la Prairie; six step-children, Sandra (Doug) Heath, Daniel (Sheri) Pegoski, Randall (Velma) Pegoski, Terry Pegoski, Lorie Paryeski, David (Sabrina) Pegoski; 14 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; several stepgrandchildren; sister Viola Paulson of Winnipeg; brother Raymond (Marie) Thorkelsson of Ashern; and sister Fae (Albert) Frohwerk of Winnipeg; and numerous nieces and nephews. Conrad was predeceased by his first wife Mona (Clee) in 1976; daughter Candice in 1956; parents, Halldor and Gudrun Thorkelsson; sisters, Helen and Myrtle; and brothers, Haukur, Edwin and Harold. Cremation has taken place and a service will be held at the Neepawa Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 10 with Rev. Dean Eisner officiating. A memorial service will be held in Ashern at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cancer Care Manitoba.
