Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEVERETT ALVIN THOMPSON 1925 - 2004 Peacefully, with his family at his side, our husband, father and grandfather passed away on March 23, 2004 at the age of 78. Everett is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Marjorie; by his devoted son John and daughter-in-law Janice; and by his grandchildren, Carolyn, Kyle and Ryan. Everett was born on August 11, 1925 in Neepawa, MB, the only child of Ed and Mabel Thompson. After dabbling in several jobs, Everett began his life-long career at the CNR in 1944. Everett and Marj were married in 1951 and they celebrated the arrival of their only child, John, in 1954. In 1965, he moved his little family from Neepawa to Transcona. Everett was a devoted and loving husband, who only grew more romantic with age. He was happiest with his family, spending time at their summer home near Neepawa, and in the winter months cheering for his favourite hockey teams. He loved the outdoors, whether he was gardening or enjoying one of his daily walks through Transcona. Everett will forever be remembered for his twinkling blue eyes, that mischievous grin, and for forever having a story at the tip of his tongue. A celebration of Everetts life will be held on Monday, March 29 at 2:00 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Chapel, Hwy. #1 E. at Navin Rd. A public viewing and visitation will be held at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, we request that a donation in Everetts name be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3G 9Z9. We would like to thank the staff on 5E and in the Palliative Care Unit at the St. Boniface General Hospital for their courage and dedication in our time of need.
