JAMES C. MORRISON January 8, 1910 - March 15, 2004 James C. Morrison beloved husband of the late Mary Morrison passed away at the Victoria Hospital on March 15, 2004 at the age of 94. Jim was predeceased by his son Cliff Morrison; daughter Darlyne Summers and husband Norris Summers (son-in-law) his parents James and Hilda Morrison and brother Ken Morrison. Jim is survived by his daughter-in-law Sandra Morrison; grandchildren, Sue Carter (Rick), James Morrison, Toni Kendall (Dan), Kim Morrison, Paul Summers, Terri Dahl (Peter). Great-grandchildren, Chelsea, Brody, Paige and Jade. His stepchildren, Catherine Bruce, Ed Corrigal (Ruth), grandchildren, Cliff (Sylvia), Keith, Colleen (Mike), Kevin (Brenda), great-grandchildren, Marina, Tanner, Sierra and Katrina, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Jim was born in Clearwater, MB to James and Hilda Morrison (nee Panser) in 1910. He lived for a short time in Saskatchewan eventually returning to Manitoba to make Winnipeg his home. He worked for a trucking depot warehouse called Perrys up until his retirement. He met and married Mary (nee Salter) and they took up residence on Jubilee Avenue where they kept a beautiful house and garden. Jim loved to garden and would spend hours outside with his flowers and tomato plants, in fact he was known for his huge, delicious tomatoes, he would grow some pretty big ones! He was also a lover of garage sales, both going to and having his own, he would go to a sale and buy his knick knack then come home and sell it for a little bit more than he paid for it in his garage sale. Jim also loved to play the slot machine at Club Regent as well as listening to his "old time" music. We will miss his laughter and his smile, as well as his sense of humour, and of course the delicious salmon sandwiches he always loved to make. Please join us in a graveside service at Garry Memorial Park, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. on Friday, May 28 at 1:30 p.m. to say so long to a wonderful caring man.
