ESTHER MOLLY TAX After a courageous battle with cancer, Esther Molly Tax passed away peacefully at the Health Sciences Centre on Tuesday, June 22, 2004 at the age of 83. Esther will be lovingly remembered by her husband William; her children, Charles, Susan and Stephen. She is also survived by her two sisters and brothers-in-law, Lilly and Sam Hamer, Sarah and Ben Torchinsky and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Abraham and Shifra Pearlman. Esthers loving support and boundless energy was greatly appreciated by her family, relatives and many friends. Esther was an avid supporter of the local arts community. She enjoyed the Winnipeg Symphony, Manitoba Opera and Manitoba Theatre Centre. Esther was a member of the Hadassah-Wizo and the National Council of Jewish Women and supported many charities. She was particularly interested in the Versatech Charitable Foundation Inc. and Cancer Research and Treatment. Services were held on Thursday, June 24 at Congregation Etz Chayim. Interment was at the Rosh Pina Memorial Park. Pallbearers were Alan Torchinsky, Sheldon Earn, Darren Earn, Barney Sneiderman, Jack Shapiro and Earl Rosenbloom. If so desired, donations in Esthers memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
