She leaves to cherish her memory her sisters, Joyce Bazan, Verna Matt and Emily Niebel; brother Stanley Szostak; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Maria and Frank Szostak; sisters, Agnes Ostrowski and Helen Jaslowski; brother Joe Szostak; and nephew David Bretchka. Annie was born on July 20, 1930 in Dugald, MB. Throughout her life she was faced with many challenges but her smile could light up a room. Although she was unable to communicate with words, her eyes were a window to her sweet innocent soul. She is now adorning wings and singing with the angels in heaven. Lord wrap your arms around her and keep her close to you. Funeral mass will be held on Thursday, October 14 at 2:00 p.m. in the Notre Dame Roman Catholic Church, 269, Jemima St., Selkirk, MB with Fr. Boguslaw Wardzinski officiating. Interment to follow in the parish cemetery. Heartfelt thanks to the nurses and staff, especially Jennifer and Kim, for the wonderful care they have given Annie throughout her life. Rest in Peace Dear Annie. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
