Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROSE YVONNE MARIE THOMPSON It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of (Rose) Yvonne Thompson on Friday, November 12, 2004 at the St. Boniface General Hospital. She was our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and our friend. Yvonne was born on January 31, 1916 to her parents, Hermidas and Agnes Bruneau in Selkirk, MB. She was predeceased by her sister Cora Thorsteinson. Spending her younger years in Selkirk, she later moved to Transcona where she raised her only daughter Marlene. She worked very hard at the CNIB for many years. She was also a proud and avid salesperson for Avon, to which she devoted 50 years of her life. Yvonne was blessed with many friends, she was a "People person" who enjoyed socializing over a good meal or a cup of tea. She will be sadly missed by her family, Marlene and Glen, Brendan and Tina, Sherri and Jeff, Stephanie, Brook, Jean, Corrine, Carole, Sharon and Jan; cousin Maryann and her husband John Huard, as well as all of her extended family and friends. Our family would like to extend our deepest thanks to the nursing staff on 5E at the St. Boniface Hospital for the compassionate care Yvonne received. A memorial service celebrating Yvonnes life will be held on Tuesday, November 16 at 7:00 p.m. in the Blessed Sacrament Parish, located at 425 Rosseau Ave. East. In lieu of flowers, donations in Yvonnes memory may be made to either the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, or the Kidney Foundation of Canada. To love a mom and then to part, is the greatest trial to the human heart. Years of striving, little of play, Loving, giving the whole of the way. A cherished smile, a heart of gold, To the dearest the world could hold. Happy memories fond and true, From us who thought the world of you. Beautiful memories are treasured ever, Of happy days when we were together. With aching hearts we whisper low, "God bless you, mother, well miss you so." Father in Heaven, hear our prayer, Guard our mother with tender care. Be a good Sheppard, dont leave her alone, Love her as we loved her when she was here at home.
