MARY SYDOR Mary Sydor (Gerelus) cherished wife, mother and grandmother died Sunday, December 12, 2004. Mary is survived by her children, daughter, Christine Frazier of Bellingham, WA, son, Bill (Janet), Winnipeg, MB, daughter Betty Scott (Dennis) Blaine, Washington. Her three granddaughters, Michelle Haigh (Steve), Erin Slabe (Terry) and Tammy Miller (Brandon) along with her four great-grandchildren, Mihaela, Julia, Tyler and Taya will remember their Bubba with great love and affection. Mary was predeceased by her husband Walter in 1972 and her longtime companion, Bill Harasymluk in 1990. Mom was born in 1916 in Seech, MB to Anne and Mike Gerelus, one of 16 children, many of whom are still living and will miss her in their lives. She met and married Walter in 1940, resided for the most part in Weston where they raised their family. After Walter's death she was fortunate to find a true and wonderful companion in Bill - they were together for many years. Together they travelled twice to Ukraine and had the pleasure of meeting many of their relatives. To find even one life companion is remarkable, to find two is extraordinary. For years she volunteered at Folklorama with the Kiev Pavilion and was an integral member of The Russian Club. Funeral service will be held on Friday, December 17 at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Society, Christmas Cheer Board or to a charity of their choice. Mom, we rejoice in your life. Thanks for all you and Dad did for us. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
