Fondly remembered by cousins, Richard, Helen, Carl (Sue), Bill, Trish and Marnie Stovel; younger cousins, Laura, Tamara, Eben, Lauren, Gwen, the entire Govan clan as well as Edward and Vivian Semmer, Corey, Dave, Carly and Jarrett, Martin and Lucas and Jonas Buller. Brett was predeceased by his father Hilliard Taylor in December 1994; his aunt Betty Taylor in July 1994 and his best friend Chris Lount on May 23, 1986. Brett's life was centered on the care of family and friends. As he went through his life no person was deemed unimportant. He had a particular gift respecting the youth and achieved Uncle status with countless children of friends and family. Brett's many lifetime friends, as well as his newer friends will remember his generous spirit, his leadership abilities and witty sense of humour. He was the glue of his large social circle. Brett was unique: a very loyal and caring friend, and was deeply loved. Brett's final days were filled with love from his family and numerous close friends on his last days of his palliative journey. Brett retained his sense of humour until the end. Brett and Tracy's wishes were fulfilled as he passed away peacefully at home with all of his loved ones around him. Brett was born, raised and went to school in the Fort Garry Penninsula. He graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Manitoba. Prior to his illness he was self-employed as a contractor. Brett was an avid bridge player, enjoyed golfing from a social standpoint and sailing; crewing several times on Sweet Sue in the Lowisa Regatta at Lake of the Woods. He loved to get together with his friends, enjoyed hosting and planning parties be it in Winnipeg or at Caddy Lake with family and friends. He was an active member of the George Lake Fishing Club. The family extend a special thanks to Dr. L. Tan, Dr. A. Ahmed, Dr. A. Norman, Dr. Maksymiuk, Dr. Nason, Dr. Cooke, Dr. West, Dr. B. Abbott and the palliative care team, nurses, D. St. Laurent, H.
