CLARA JEAN THORDARSON (nee COCHRANE) On February 22, 2005 Clara Jean Thordarson, aged 85 years, passed away at the Fisher River Personal Care Home with her family at her side. Clara was born April 6, 1919 at Fisher River, MB and resided in Selkirk since 1970. She was employed by the Selkirk Mental Health Centre for a number of years until her retirement. She is survived by her sons, Dan and Floyd (Guylaine); son-in-law Eric; grandchildren, Lana, Rusty, Kelly (Candace), Dale, and Duane; great-grandchildren, Brandon and Austin; as well as numerous relatives and friends. Clara was predeceased by her husband Larus; daughter Charlotte; parents, Benjamin and Mary-Ann; brothers, Jim, Ben, and Gordon; and sister Loyda-May. Funeral services will be held at Steven's United Church on Thursday, February 24 at 5:00 p.m. in Fisher River and also in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, 309 Eveline St., Selkirk, MB, at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, February 25, with viewing prior to the service. Cremation to follow. The family would like to thank the staff at the personal care home for their kindness and support. Also thank you to the Fisher River Band Council.
