PAUL TANSLEY Tragically, on April 11, 2005 at the Health Sciences Centre, Paul Tansley, aged 49 years, a beloved son, father, grandfather and friend. Paul was predeceased by his mother Elizabeth in 1976. He is survived by children, Victoria of Kelowna, BC, Jane and John, both of Winnipeg; grandchildren, Calvin and Danial of Kelowna and Ocean of Winnipeg. He is also survived by his father Michael Tansley and his present wife Valerie of Cowichan Bay, BC; brother Shane (Rose) of Winnipeg; and aunts and uncles, Jerry and Susanne Pack of Tulsa, OK, Dave and Linda Hardy, Jack and Molly Smeeth and Richard and Sylvia Tansley, all in the U.K.; as well as numerous cousins and nephews in Canada, America and Europe. Paul was born on June 16, 1955 in Amersham, U.K., coming to Canada with his family in September, 1966 at the age of 11 years. He attended Stevenson Junior High School and Sturgeon Creek High School. Having been employed in the trucking industry for 30 years, Paul spent 20 to 25 years with Portage Transport and the last 10 years with Direct Transport. He enjoyed reading, movies, Shakespeare, John La Carre and Seinfeld. Paul was a humble, generous, hard working man, always willing to help others. He made many friends throughout his life, especially in the trucking fraternity. Visitation will take place from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 19 at the Thomson Funeral Home, 669 Broadway. A small family farewell celebration will take place between 8:45 and 9:00 p.m. and those wishing to share in the farewell are welcome.
