MARJORIE (MIDGE) FLORENCE JEAN TANASICHUK It is with heavy hearts that we announce on Monday, May 2, 2005 suddenly in the LL Hospital, Midge (nee Lawson) passed away at the age of 73. Midge leaves to morn her passing, her loving husband, Matt; children, Steven (Winnie), Karen (Clint), Don (Jean), Greg (Barb), Susan, and Valerie (Greg); 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brothers, Jim (Jean) of Calgary, Bill of Brandon, David (Heather) of The Pas; and many nieces and nephews. Midge was predeceased by her parents, Abe and Vi Lawson. Midge was born in The Pas on June 15, 1931 and married Matt in 1954. Together, they raised their family in Lynn Lake. She was employed in the housekeeping department of the hospital for many years. Midge was involved in many organizations and always was there to lend a hand. She spent many years with the Brownies, Legion Ladies Auxiliary, ACW, St. Simons Church and the Over 50 Club. Midge had a heart of gold and always had time for her family and everyone else who needed a touch of kindness. She always was there to help any organization that called. Gardening, crafts and reading were her favourite pastimes. Her infamous Christmas letters will be missed by the many who requested that they too be added to the list. A celebration of Midge's life will be held 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 7 at St. Simons Anglican Church in Lynn Lake, MB. Flowers gratefully declined. If friends so desire, a donation in her memory may be made to the St. Simons Anglican Church, Box 490, Lynn Lake, MB R0B 0W0. Our loss is heaven's gain.
