Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPETER TARAPACKI (TARAPASKY) It is with sadness that the family announces the passing of Peter on Monday, August 29, 2005 at the Seven Oaks Hospital. Peter was predeceased by his first wife Weronica in 1980. He leaves to mourn his loving wife, Josie Roco; sons, Edward (Dorothy) and Gordon; grandchildren, Mitchell, James (Judy), and Daryl; great-grandchildren, Jason, Shannon and Erica; stepchildren, Chito (Lucy), Frankie (Lydia), Kit (Lorena), Ed (Inday), Corito (Ted), Bong (Mel), Espie (Bien), Ramon (Mila) Jose (Tes), Jing (Ron) and Evelyn (Ken) and many great-grandchildren; as well as nieces and nephews. He was born in the RM of Rockwood, MB on October 4, 1911. He farmed at Whytewold in his early years and enjoyed all those years when he was tending to the farm and selling his vegetables to campers at Winnipeg Beach. He moved to Winnipeg later on and worked for Globe Lite Batteries. He then moved on and worked for Standard Aero Engines until his retirement at age 65. While at Standard Aero, Peter took pride in the hum of the engines of airplanes that he repaired. He would listen to the sound of the airplanes as they were test-flown and could identify which ones he worked on by just hearing them fly by. Dad was a real handyman and a tinkerer. He enjoyed fixing anything from the smallest item to the biggest engine that he could lay his hands on. In love from day one till the end, Josie and Peter enjoyed driving from Minto Street to Whytewold to fetch some spring water, tending to the small garden, walking, singing and dancing. Very special thanks go to the Maples Personal Care Home staff especially Clarita and Araceli. He will be missed tremendously. Memorial service will be held on Friday, September 2 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Arrangements entrusted to: CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE 885-9715 Family and friends are invited to sign the Book of Condolence at www.chapellawn.mb.ca

Lolo Peter was a strong man. He was a symbol of hard work, caring and true. Every time I visited Lolo Peter and Lola pinning, he always smiled. He was always welcoming and showed off his garden to me. I was just thinking of you. Nikkie - Posted by: Nick (Grand son (Lola's side)) on: Feb 18, 2013
